#MWC25 Greece Marks Its 12th Consecutive Year with a Strong Presence

In a press briefing ahead of MWC Barcelona 2025, organizers and key representatives of the Greek delegation outlined the country’s participation in one of the world’s most significant technology exhibitions. They emphasized Greece’s growing role in digital innovation and the importance of international networking to support business expansion and technological advancement.

This year’s delegation will be the largest in over a decade, reflecting the country’s steady progress in key sectors such as AI, Fintech, SaaS, 5G, and Blockchain.

MWC Barcelona 2025, taking place at Fira Gran Via, will bring together more than 2,400 exhibitors and 110,000 industry professionals. Greece’s national pavilion will host 37 companies across more than 150 sq.m., aiming to showcase cutting-edge technological solutions and foster new business collaborations.

The delegation is organized by the Ministry of Digital Governance, Enterprise Greece, and the Association of Innovative Applications Enterprises of Greece (SEKEE).

During the press briefing, SEKEE President, Manos Macromallis highlighted the value of Greece’s participation in strengthening the country’s technology ecosystem, supporting business growth, and enhancing international visibility. Enterprise Greece CEO Dr. Marinos Giannopoulos pointed to the rapid expansion of Greece’s digital sector, which is growing at an annual rate of 8%, as a key driver behind the delegation’s strong presence at the exhibition.
The organizers also noted that over 60 business meetings have already been scheduled at the Greek pavilion, including discussions with international innovation hubs from countries such as Spain and Estonia. Additionally, 18 Greek companies have expressed interest in participating in pitching sessions, further enhancing their global exposure.

Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou emphasized the importance of Greece’s outward-looking approach, particularly as the country strengthens its position in critical technological fields, including space technologies. He underlined that fostering cross-border collaboration is essential for accelerating innovation and developing impactful digital solutions.

A dedicated website (https://mwc25.sekee.gr/) has been launched to provide comprehensive information about the Greek delegation and its participants. For the first time, video presentations have been created for each participating company, offering a direct introduction to their work and objectives at the exhibition.
The Greek delegation is supported by the Region of Attica, the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT), Elevate Greece, the Regional Development Fund of Attica, and the Hellenic-Spanish Chamber of Commerce. Major sponsors include EGG – Eurobank and Samsung Electronics Hellas.
